My plan to be more positive

Lately, I've been disgruntled. A bit under the weather with a bad cold and stomach bug, too. Have you ever worked in a pharmacy where some of the techs or pharmacists are little bit negative? Ready to gripe about the previous idiotic, rude customer as soon as they walk out of ear shot? I have a tendency to feed on the vibe around me.

I have been at the current location for about 10 months now. The vibe there can be less than positive. The customers are tough, many acting as if they just crawled out fro under some rock, lacking the social mores of polite society. Many just grunt or cuss at you. With the growth in business since I've started there, the growing pains have not helped. I am resolving to be less cynical, more patient, and positive in my dealings with customers. Especially, when i realized the other day, during a conversation with my boss about how crummy I've been feeling, that maybe some of these patients are feeling as yucky as I have been feeling; like gum stuck to the bottom of a shoe. Just hanging on and trying to get through the day.

Let's hope I can stick to it. I'll begin just as soon as my energy is back up. Man this cold sucks!

I can still be a negative jerk here, though, right? Gotta vent somewhere, don't I?
